STAR win prestigious RCoA & NIHR Award
Severn Trainee Anaesthetic Research Group are delighted and honoured to have been awarded the Royal College of Anaesthetists and National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) 'Clinical Research Network Award' 2019.
From a competitive field, STAR was selected by RCoA and the Clinical Research Network (CRN) panel for its commitment to research over the past few years.
The award is designed to recognise an NHS clinical network that is making outstanding contributions to clinical research, particularly in relation to NIHR CRN portfolio studies. The award was made following STAR's demonstration of clinical leadership enabling the organisation to increase its participation in clinical studies, engaging with patients and its contribution to successful delivery of clinical research studies.
The award will be invaluable in supporting our mission to enable Severn anaesthetic trainees to continue and expand their involvement in high quality multi-centre research, audit and quality improvement projects.
